Why we built this

Who this is for

Petal & Mom was built for mothers who have suffer from a clogged duct or mastitis and are tired of getting it over and over again.

The clinical advice mothers are given is sound. It also quietly assumes two free hands, a hot shower and an unclaimed half hour, which are three of the scarcest things in a house with a new baby. So we built the device to perform the same gentle work on its own.

What we do

The device is designed to ease discomfort and support milk flow. There is no completed clinical study behind this product, so you will not find a percentage, a success rate or a statistic anywhere on this site — not because the numbers are unflattering, but because they do not exist yet, and inventing them would be the easiest way to mislead you. We are working on proving our claims, and we will share the results when we have them.

If you are not feeling well, see someone. Mastitis bacterial infection needs antibiotics.

How we are set up

We are a small team and brand. The device is designed and made in the USA, and the person who answers the inbox is the person who worked on the thing you are wearing.

Development ran through lactation professionals, and the massage pattern was determined by physical therapists certified in breast care and lactation specialists with decades of experience, rather than approximated in software.
